Tony Willis
Tony co-founded Willis Welby in 2009. He started in finance in 1982 as a sell-side analyst and worked for a number of firms before joining BZW in the mid-1990s where he subsequently became Head of pan-European research. Following the completion of CSFB’s takeover of BZW Tony joined Lazard Asset Management where he ran UK money and performed a number of management roles within the investment teams. He was a partner prior to the flotation of the wider group. Tony and Max Welby first forged their business relationship when on the same Equities Management Committee at BZW. Tony graduated with a BA Hons from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
David Heilbron
David joined Willis Welby in September 2017. He started his Markets career in 1983 with Grieveson Grant, originally as an oils analyst before switching to sales. He worked for a number of European banks, both in London & New York, before joining Citigroup in 1998. He performed a dual role in his first five years there, as both a Pan European salesman and as Head of ECM Distribution for Sales. Then, focusing entirely on sales, he account managed a number of large long-only and hedge fund Investment Management firms. He was involved in Citi’s Alpha Capture efforts, continued to work with ECM and was very active in promoting Citi’s research product. He has a BA Hons from Exeter University in Economics and Economic History.
